Birdies Are Flying in Kenya

Support Our Sister School in Kenya!

We invite you to learn about our most meaningful encounter of the last decade. In 2016, Bilingual Birdies was invited to Little Ray of Hope, a preschool in Kawangware, Kenya’s second largest slum in Nairobi. We volunteered our live music English classes, concerts, a teacher training program and instruments. The result was an epic cultural exchange among educators with lasting impact that has informed their work in the classroom as well as ours stateside. The school’s Founder is Evelyn Waneloba, a trained educator and native Kenyan who stretches meager funds to provide education, food, and healthcare for 188 students who face unimaginable challenges. Her proven track record of success serving children in need since 2007 is unparalleled with anything we have seen in early childhood education.

Little Ray of Hope is our first international sister school and we are committed to raising funds to grant a few requested game-changing additions to the quality of their education. If you would like to sponsor a child’s education from kindergarten to 12th grade, the cost is $600 per year and you pay directly to the school below. If you would like to make a smaller contribution towards books, art supplies, food, medicine, or clean drinking water please donate below.
